Isn't there a law against that sort of thing? That poor tree..

I did a thing...View attachment 1249733$832 out the door. I think this will be the one to go under the knife.
That was a steal. That is the saw Husqvarna should have built to replace the 372 oe.
Real nice!

Some may disagree but I think jumbo perch are the best tasting non-salmonid freshwater fish out there. More or less walleye but sweeter.
I'll take bluegills over any other fish, but perch are a close second.
That's too bad.

I'll call you if I need to talk!

Fixed.
Perch, walleye and pike are the best tasting fish to me. They could all be #1 on my list.
My old fishin' buddy used to say "If you catch a pike, you're one in the hole."

Yeah, it's probably best to go with what Lee or Sean the real mechanics use, instead of the hippie wrenching on junk VW buses out in the yard.
Easy, I used rhe grey on my tdi oil pan too....
390 Ford engine ... one of my favorites. You could make them run really strong if you knew what you were doing, and you could beat the snot out of them, and they just kept on running!
My 73 f250 has a 360fe in it, I wouldn't say it's the most powerful, but it certainly takes a beating and keeps on trucking. Been in my family since 76. About the only thing we've done to it is swap electronic ignition into it.

Got the 6 leaker running tonight. Ipr valve like I suspected. Now just need to take it all back apart and swap the updated oil cooler in it and reseal a few things. Hopefully I'll test run it to work on Monday.
Junk yard run tomorrow though, so I'm not expecting to get much done to it.

It was actually in a scrap pile in the woods, Came out of another wrecked 63.5 that was there. It’s not the original, it was in a building just n pieces with a wasted crank, the guys son gave me all of the history on everything.

Back to the one I found though, I thought it was just a set of valve covers at first and kept digging through old toasters and it was the whole engine.

I figured the inside was trashed from sitting out in the elements but to my surprise it was not stuck, and only had 1 stuck exhaust valve which freed right up. Dad and I upfitted it with the accessories off of the 352 from my ‘66 truck that I had pulled out at the time to replace the clutch and rear main on and started it up right on the ground.

It ran so good I ended up putting it in the truck just to see if it was any good and I’ve put nearly 12,000 miles on it since then. It doesn’t smoke, doesn’t burn or even leak oil. I hardly ever have good luck but that was an extremely lucky find. After talking to the guy about it some more he was remembering and was pretty sure that was a fresh rebuild that he got after he spun a bearing in the other 390 and only drove it for a short time before he was in the accident with it.

I’ve got pictures and video on my hard drive at work, I’ll dig them up and share them Monday morning.

Oregon pretty cool,
Never been to the PNW, but I've bought a good number of saws from up there. One of the places I'd like to make it to before I hit 60, and that's coming fast...

Funny thing happened, the wife grabbed up some walleye tonight from a local shop called fry daddy's .
Funny when that sort of thing happens.

So here's where we left the woodshed at last evening, brought like 4 bigger buckets in. Got a few tonight that finished the front and the second row.
Two rows average height around 5', then the front and back at about the same average height x 5.5'. The overall length is just over 16 with the front row past the post as they are 15.5' from the back of the woodshed. So around 270 cubic ft or around 2.10 cord. When I get the other two rows finished it will be about 3.5-3.75. As they end up going bit past the inside post. I'll be sure to get another pic of what we got done today, I want to be sure to get credit for it. Trust me, I know to show my work 😆.
