I never expect anything else..it's our money they're playing with, not theirs..

If the agency you are dealing with is the Environment Agency, you're right to down tools and renegotiate..I've heard that they have a reputation for shafting their contractors..

large contracts

we are working on the new royal bank of scotland HQ and while they are good for a massive contract they also have their heads up their arses.

eg, they want a tree felled, the planners have to get someone to say aye, thats a good idea and they then have to get someone to confirm its the right idea, then they have to notifiy their boss who gets someone to write a permit for the work and then they get someone to second sign the permit and they then get their secretary to phone us and tell us that the birch which was to be left and untouched under all circumstances, is now in the way and must urgently be felled...... (the number of people may be wrong but you get the point)

another job, we had 3 small parks to do the tree work on, as we finished they asked if we could do the other 3 (bigger) parks, for the same price of course, and by the end of next week......aye right, the gaffa made his excuses and we left.....

big contacts can suck but im sure they also pay off
