Is there a way to sharpen carbide teeth while still on the cutter wheel? We have a SGX-60 stump grinder mounted to a skidsteer.
If so how?

Not that I've ever seen or heard of Tony. . . I could be wrong though. I think ya got to take them off to replace/sharpen them.

On average...

how many hours of use are you getting before you change out your teeth?
I should say, hours of quality cutting?

It was some time ago when I purchased a disk for a hand held grinder designed to sharpen stump teeth while still on the machine. I don't know if I can find the website but if I do I will repost. Anyway...I didn't like it. I never could get them sharp. I gave up and just went back to the way that I do now. In the field if a break off a tooth (carbide) I use a battery operated impact wrench to remove the teeth and replace. I keep a good supply of teeth in my truck. If I'm at my shop I use the air impact. I did have a gas compressor in my truck that I used but that was stolen from my truck while I was doing a back yard stump.
