There should be one diaphragm. Teflon is good for ethanol blended fuel. Rubber is the better material for the application but is not resistant to ethanol.Recently got the chance to work on a shindaiwa 757 progressional saw. I am new into saw repairs but read and watch a ton of content on the internet. Saw has sat for years. Claims to have had a new piston installed. Friend said it bogs and doesn't take throttle. I rebuilt the carburetor and can get throttle to respond. Tuned H screw to 3,000 rpm using digital tach. Issue I am having is that there is still a small bog at begining of throttle squeeze but the rpms seem to work through it and clear up. When I took the carb apart I noticed it had 2 fuel pump diaphragms in it. The rubber one and the Teflon one stacked on top of it. Guessing that isn't correct and should only have one pump diaphragm? Anyone know if there should only be one?
Thank you. Realize now I said 3,000 instead of 13,000There should be one diaphragm. Teflon is good for ethanol blended fuel. Rubber is the better material for the application but is not resistant to ethanol.
