I've got a Shindaiwa 415 that is about 19 years old and I need some fuel tank parts. The saw hasn't had a lot of use, the parts are just detiorated. There seems to be few dealers in this area (So. Maine) and most don't stock parts for something that old. Many only seem to work on trimmers or power brooms. Are there any on-line or other dealers any of you can recommend for Shindaiwa parts?

Thanks in advance.

Rich, thanks for the reply. Two dealers I called were out of the Shindiawa business, another I spent 5-10 minutes on various recordings, and finally hung up discusted. On Sat. another dealer told me he had to have a minimum $25 order to put in before he would order again. To make a long story short I tried one more about 4:30 and he took all my numbers down and said he will check the PN and get back with me tomorrow. He sounded sincere so we will see. My biggest worry is that the saw is almost 20 years old and maybe parts aren't available any more.

Thanks again. I'll let you know if this doesn't turn out. I pulled all the dealer numbers within 100 miles so there is a few more to call.

Wow what service! I contacted Hammond Tractor in Union, Maine who had just taken on the Shindaiwa line. He ordered the parts I needed out of a supplier in NJ in and they came in about 2 days. I haven't got them yet, it is a ways away and a friend who lives nearer will ge them for me. I'll let you know if there is any further problems. He couldn't get a new air filter, something they stopped making or something.
