I was lloking at one of theese saws the other day, and they look pretty good on the outside. But does anyone here have any experience with theese bad boys?

no experience with their saws.. but their 2 cycle equipment has an excellent reputation
among pro lawn care folks.. so the powerhead is gonna be ,i would guess real good..
shindowa ,is not dumb,i wouldnt think.. they stress high end quality equipment ...
i gotta believe they are gonna do their homework ,as to all the rest that goes around that powerhead ,to make an good saw..me im afraid id stay with companies that have made their name in quality, chainsaws.. but its a good bet the saws gonna be alrite..jmo

Shindaiwa saws are somewhat dated in their ergonomics and technology when compared to Stihl, Husky, Jonsered, or the best offerings from Dolmar like the 7900 but the quality and durability is excellent.

Real good quality. I have a number of Shindaiwa saws, while they are pretty dated as Jokers says they are stone reliable!

Shindaiwa saws are the shiznit! The 360, 377, and 488 are as good as they come in a small to medium sized saw. They start easy, have good power (lots of torque for a high rpm saw) and run forever. The 757 is the only big saw they have and although not popular it is a really nice saw. They dont have some of the newer features like single control levers, side tensioners, or spring type av mounts but they are as rock solid as a saw can be. They also dont have a lot of dealer support in some areas and that detracts from their popularity. They have a seven day satisfaction guarantee like husky does so you are guaranteed not to get stuck with a "club" or something you dont like.
