I don't know about the saws but several of my friends have been using their trimmers and have nothing but good to say about them, the quality/durability is there, well maintained they have outlasted Stihls and Huskies of same basic set-ups. Just a quick, no mind, 0.02$ worth.

 (btw, 'made in Japan' doesn't mean the same now as it did in the (circa) '60's they have been producing high quality machines for a while now imo).

I have a Shindaiwa trimmer that I bought about 5 years ago that has been good to me as well. It was pretty pricey though, I thought. Can't remember the model. 480? I seem to be kind of hard on tap heads, though as I cut a lot of fairly tough brush with it.

I got no problem with Japanese made tools...They really take quality seriously i.e. honda, robin. I use a Hitachi 9.6v 1/4" drive impact on my bench and it may be the best tool I own. I also have a Hitachi 18v 1/2" drive impact that will break the rustiest lug nuts. The rest of the world could take a lesson for building quality equipment...

Japanese stuff is great stuff used to work for them.Put it this way Japanese stuff is by far better than Chinese

I also believe that the Japanese make good products. My livelihood depends on people buying American (and European to a smaller extent) made products. So I try to do the same when I can, that's all! :D

yes I agree and I do also.If I cant get American id rather have Japanese
than anyone elses
