Howdy y'all, I have been cleaning up an old crosscut I had purchased a few months back and I was super happy to have been able to find a maker's mark today. I know the saw is a Simonds Pacific Coast Pattern No. 541 manufactured between 1922 after the name change to Simonds Saw and Steel Company and before 1938 when the main insignia on these American made crosscuts changed styling. I was wondering if anybody had any insight on identifying a narrower age range for when my saw could have been manufactured. I'll attach a photo below, but I am going to go at the area with a finer grit sandpaper tomorrow to hopefully get a bit more of the maker's mark back.
