Sorry champ i don't mean to be negative but a 40 % increase is a bit hard to believe,is this thing a cooky cutter GT saw or a work saw ?.I think a before and after vid is required to show improvements.
Sorry i require proof.:msp_unsure:

SImon will have a saw at the GTG, if not this exact saw. SO we'll have proof soon enough, I imagine.

My 385xp went from ~38 seconds to ~28 seconds in 36" of fir once I ported it. So that's either about 25% faster, or you can say the non-ported one was 35% slower. All depends on how ya look at it.

Pfeeeeewwww, glad I don't have to participate in the costs involved after all.:)

Glad you like the saw. If it weren't for that dang ocean between us, I'd try a modded saw myself.

I'm over in your area all the time. I could always check a box on the plane for you.

Srcarr52, will soon rep you. EDIT--Nope, gotta first spread it around.

Roland, the blokes downunder frequently buy saws ported in the US, & Canada.

I think everyone should own a ported saw, well at least people who know how to use them. It's no big deal to put a box on the plane when I fly directly into Brussels. I have Delta status that gives me free checked bags that I never use since they always seem to loose you luggage when you need it the most.

If you don't mean to be negative, then don't be negative. That saw is a work saw. It will be working next year, and the year after. It is funny that since I have proven myself, my customers are now being called out. Hilarious.

Those 460's are such dogs in stock form, I'm surprised you didn't get 50% out of it Simon!!!:check:

I finally got my Youtube straightened out to watch these. Pretty impressed Simon. That saw definetly has a great deal more power than in the before vids. I would say you done a great job. I kinda figured that already though. I ran your 372 at the GTG and it was a screamer too.

I believe the results. Heck even the simple muffler mod/dual port cover wakes up the MS460.

Its been shown before, depending on how you do the math, the results can seem allot different. That 460 definitely looks better, then the first stock vid.

No question... I.S. cuts an assload of wood... With a bunch of different saws... If he was impressed, then it was an impressive improvement. But we all kinda knew it would be... Ported saws just have the "WOW" factor...:msp_wink:

Long time my short-peckered friend. What's new?

Just watching you dazzle the crowd, now that you've "proven" yourself, from Nanoose Bay. Don't have time to come see your long lasting 4th place worksaw, leaving tomorrow morning. I'll surprise you on one of these trips though, and let you run a "real fast" saw.......if you think you're up to it!.......Hahahahahahaha! Later baiter!
