Skid steer mounted chipper

Anyone got one or used one? I see bobcat makes a high flow chipper for small brush, I think up to 5". Maybe its 8", don't remember. I like the idea, just wondering how well they work.

They work ok if what your grinding is still standing. Dont try to grind up a brush pile, Youll be there all day and then some. As you said, It takes a high flow machine to work one. It also take alot of hydraulic capacity to keep your machine cool. Ive used them on several machines and while they will work, I wasnt overly impressed. Dont get in a hurry. Ive used them on a T300 bobcat, Would not stay cool and not enough power. John deere CT332, Would not stay cool, But had a little more power. I cant remember the size but it was an ASV (CAT) Skidsteer also it was 120hp dedicated for a chipper(so they said) it would stay cool and had better power but we couldnt keep the machine together. My .02 cents, If you wanted to get into it and go, get an actuall chipper machine, dont have a clue what they cost, But id bet theyre proud of them.

Thanks, I meant a brush chipper for chipping limbs into the back of a truck, instead of a typical tow behind chipper. I was thinking I could eliminate another truck and tow behind chipper if I could get an attachment that could ride on the trailer with my bobcat, grapples, bucket, and stump grinder.

Oh, my bad. I have mis-comunications from time to time. Never have been around one of those, never even seen one. They got all kinds of neat stuff for a bobcat anymore.
