Needing a new set of skid steer tires and have researched the web tonight for different price range of tires. We are currently running Firestone 10 Ply 305/70 D16.5 and have had excellent wear but they are hard to find and are around $300 bucks each. We are using the skid to load the trees in to a dump trailer and we drive on most lawns without doing a whole lot of damage. Do very little turning while picking up the trees. So what is the best, cost effective tire to buy? Has anyone bought any tires on e-bay and how did they hold up?

The last few sets of skid steer tires I purchased were from Bobcat. They are expensive but last a little longer than the other brands that we tried. None of them lasted more than a year on cement or blacktop but if you kept them in the gravel or grass they last forever. There's just no cheap way around those types of tires. If you can find cheapo's good luck.

Have not had a lot of flats due to running in lawns and we are watching where we drive. Don't do a whole lot of demolition work but do a little.

I'd get solid tires and never worry about another flat and you can run tracks on it and never worry about a ruined sidewall. But if you will never need them solid ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
