Last loop of stihl rsc I bought at the dealer cost me $44 for 93 drivers. They can get away with it cause they are three only shop in town. The owner looked at me like I was from mars when I asked if he could sharpen one with square geometry for me. Your prices are more than fair.
That for a Husky?... Depending on where you're at, that's right around MSRP.

Stopped by a local Kinko's/FedEx Office store the other day, and noticed that they have 'Flat Rate' shipping too now. I don't think that you can beat the USPS Small Box Rate, but it looks like you can get a whole lot more into the FedEx Flat Rate boxes, at the next step up, for less $$. Might want to check into that if there is a location near you.

FedEx is usually pretty reliable too (except for occasional, large, flat screen TVA!).

I work for fedex (the express division) and those boxes were just recently brought to the market. It's supposed to tap into the USPS flat rate market. And that dude who flung the flat screen over the wrought iron fence? That guy's been long since fired. Management was doing damage control after that video went viral, so somebody had to take the fall.

Roll of Oregon .325 3/8 .063 semi-skip full chisel on the way. I prefer semi over full skip, I really like this Oregon chain over the New and inconsistent Stihl.

My last roll of chain was semi skip oregon .063 ,That is a good all around chain for falling and limbing,It bores real nice too .

Wonder how semi-skip would do for milling especially in lengths above 40 inches?
I love Semi but it has to be ground right or it can be a little jittery.

It is not recomended for milling if want a smooth finish ,a full comp ripping or semichisel type will make nice boards ,it will be slower though ,the chisel corner bites too hard and leaves gouges in the finish .

I've got better finishes with square in poplar than I did with semi chisel. You can always try it Dave and see.

I actually have been trying regular ground full chisel recently for milling, (kinda had no choice as I hit two lag bolts side by side in the center) and I really don't mind the rougher finish as I have a very large planer that can cure that in a hurry! I want better speed in hardwoods. Been doing a helluva lot of white oak lately.
I'm sending "Slingr" some chain tomorrow. I wish I knew what the angles and stops were so that Shaun C. could do it for me locally. Not interested in grinding chain for everyone but we would like to do it right :).
Incidentally...what is the chain # for the semi-skip you buy?

I think it's 75CK.

Something for testing this weekend.

They used to be the same angle. I changed the top plate angle on the Pro-Sharp for hardwood.
I love my Pro-Sharp, but I prefer the Ziggy.
The Ziegelmeyer hands down is the best grinder ever made. I traded two fully rebuilt saws for mine- but the way it performs, I would have traded four.

Does the Ziggy use the same 8" wheels as the Simington/Silvey?
Do you have any pics of it you can post? I've seen the close-up video of a chain
being sharpened on one on youtube. I really dig the water jet cooling....
Still I'd love to see a couple good pics of the complete unit if either of you guys them.
