Wal-Mart just started selling these "Snapper" saws. The box actually has the manfactuer on it. I honestly do not remember who it is. I will check the next time I am there.

It has the classic look of a Poulan, just picture that same saw with green and purple paint, and you got a "not so" wild thing. It is sad, they will put any paintjob and name on the same saw, just to sell it as competition for their own saws. Whats next an orange and white saw with the word Steel across the side (I bet the average slackjaw would never know!) "hey man look at my 45cc Steel got er' at Wal Mart fer 79 bucks"..you never know!-Matt

Well either which way it's a Simplicity saw now ever since they bought out Snapper!:D

Old "91prowler" ( current high bidder) doesnt mind shelling out $95.00 bucks for it huh?
Where is he at when I'm trying to sell something?

this aint need to know stuff. but id be curious to know what poulans cost on one of these units is. just guessin about 30-45 bucks. ive got the saw pictured only its grey and called craftsman.
its my ugly saw. meaning i put it in places i wont put my better saws. 2 yrs and still cuts alrite. ive figured out, its the green plastic that causes poulan to be so crappy.:D

Mike maybe you should go to wal mart, buy poulans, paint them a different color, put a catchy name on it, and sell it on e-bay and maybe 91 prowler will shop from you!-LOL:D -Matt

Checked Wally World yesterday. It is just as it looks. The box says electrolux home products. Another version to sell against the twins saws of other colors.

Whaddaya expect from a corporation that uses a turtle as it's logo? The Snappin' Turtle is the model of speed and power, that's for sure!

I think it's just an inbred bastard third cousin to the similar colored Jonsey.

The Red Max dealer claims the E-Lux has sold off Snapper. I find that hard to believe since they just started adding the red dye to the injection molders. Has anyone heard of a new owner for the "Turtle". It would not surprise me to see Wally's buy them so they can corner the junk market. Wally World is behind the times and needs to start into vertical integration.
