Every piece of wood I could buck and split has now been properly stacked with the crisscrossed ends. Only can wait till the next tree service dropoff. Gives me some maintenance time, the way I figure:) .
 
i got five more logs blocked up.
got brush removed back to another.
then fired up the pit and burnt all the brush i had removed.

afterwards sat by the fire, until a friend came over to pick up a load of rounds...
now im down to approx, 5 more loads to be hauled off before we take down the other 11 trees.
 
Well been as this thread is back going I guess I'll pitch in. Yesterday day I took down a couple pines that were on the edge of a road for a guy. They were to small for logs or pulp so I bucked them, piled the brush and brought it in for fire wood. Going back this morning to take down some more.
 
My pile of wood grew today...three large pick-up loads and 5 loads w/ my 4*8 trailer behind my quad.
Spent a fantastic day w/ dad cutting and hauling. He's 73 and hung in there for 6 hours w/ me.

bowtech enjoy the time you still have with your dad, i lost mine last night after a four year battle with cancer and dementia. i saw you post and the great times i had with my pop flooded back. i hope you have many enjoyable years left with your dad. god bless

I am really sorry to hear about your Dad. After reading your post I called mine up just to chat. He's a great man and I will miss him dearly when he's gone. My prayers are with you and your family.
