Looks like they have a good 5 minutes worth of use left. At $25 shipping it's a bargain:rolleyes:

i'll email the bidder to find out his intentions......does anyone have an old manilla climbing line for him?

The only salvagable item on the list might be the climbers- without straps or pads. All that old leather needs to be cut up and thrown away so some idiot doesn't try to use it. This fool selling the stuff is asking for a guilt trip when the buyer actually tries to use this stuff and gets injured or killed when it fails. :(

Looks like the gear I used to use when I started.
You did not have to be crazy but it helped.

And that gear, ladies and gentlemen, is reserved for use by the next Darwin award nominee... namely, Joe Homeowner trying to save a few bucks.

To be fair , there is a high probability that the bidder doesn't intend to use this stuff for climbing. There are a lot of people who like to hang old tools and gear on the wall for display-some of them prefer the oldest and rattiest they can find. That stuff may be destined for hanging on a rough-paneled wall of a Barbeque joint. (Let's hope!)

The young guys poke fun of it and the old farts wanna put it on a wall. I'm glad my grandfather didn't melt down his old ax and crosscut saw cause they look kinda cool hanging on the barn door.
;)
