The city where I live had an internet only auction today. They had two Husky 141's that appeared complete, and one Husky that was in peices in a box. The only description was Husky chainsaw, untested. Look at the attached photo. This saw had a metal handle, not plastic like the 141, but I did not care about the husky. Look under the husky and there appears to be a Stihl. Look at the bars, one is a solid bar. Ok, I like to gamble. I bid and won, $40.00. I picked it up and guess what was under the husky. A Stihl 041. Would have been a great day except that the 041 looks like it was run over by a bulldozer. The starter, flywheel, muffler and the coil are about the only thing that survived. I did end up with 3 good 20" chains, two of the laminated bars dressed up ok and I guess will be good for loaners or dirty cutting. The solid bar is ok, but needs a new tip. If I sell all of the good parts on ebay, I might break even. I have had some pretty good wins, I guess if you play the game, you are going to lose once in a while.

Difficult to see the Stihl in the pic but if you have all the parts for that Husky and its not locked-up you should easily make you money back plus abit more selling it and whatever salvagable parts you can get off the Stihl 041. Good luck.

You did pretty good. Three chains, a couple bars and an 041 coil that wil go for $25-35 on Evilbay? Sounds allright to me.

That 041 was prolly ran over with a bulldozer, city workers and all. (Sorry Casey ;) )

hahaha...Dodge, thats cool. I dont work for the city though, we take pride in what we do!!!

I did run over my Nextel one day, sad part is it went between the grousers, didnt even scratch it.

Yea, I can most likely come out in the end. But I was hoping for a burried treasure. An 046 or 066 that only needed a little TLC. From what little I could see in the pic, I figured it was an old saw. A rebuildable 041 would have been a nice find. Maybe I can find a near perfect 041 that is cheap because it needs the parts I have, LOL.

I've ran my cell phone over when blading my road with my tractor, twice. The first time just wasn't good enough!:hmm3grin2orange:

I'm still using it!

Even a Nextel will not survive the hay conditioner. I can assure you of that from personal experience

I have a 5 year old Sanyo phone I've dropped from a 2 story roof, ran over it with a skidsteer and dropped it wet concrete. Electrical tape holds the battery on now but it just won't quit. I laugh at my co-workers and ther new fancy phones every time their calls get dropped.
