Thats not a good question to ask me. The Stihl dealers around here are the reason I dont own one Stihl saw at this time.

But yeah I do some business with the Poulan service place here quite often, but to be honest, I order alot of parts from a real dealer out of state, mostly for the convience and time savings because of living in a rual area and working alot of overtime.

Will your Poulan service place sell you a carb adjustment tool?

I have to chime in. I'm pretty rural also except for the tourist trap areas. I have a local Poulan\Homelite dealer as well as local Stihl and a TSC and Co-Op for Husky. Lowes sells Poulan saws, my local guy and his wife would rather sell farm fresh eggs and Parrots...yes Parrots, the kind that scream at you when you come in the door, like maybe 30 of them rather than sell new saws. He does repairs only, never asked if he can order a new saw to sell. I really like this guy a lot and would rather buy from him than online. I have to wait sometimes but that's ok, same with my Stihl dealer.
He was working on a saw one day and had the spindled tool sitting there. I said "I need one of those, can you get me one?" He said "NO!" That's it, we moved on and I came home and ordered one. Whether he can or can't or just don't know where and if he can get me one who knows.

Good question and one that I can't answer as I never bothered to ask one. At $6 for one delivered to the house its really a non issue to me.

I can see some dealers refusing to sell them to the public though if Husqvarna/Poulan issued instructions not to.

How did that one guys get all of those Red A s??

No, Poulan has more servicing dealers than any other brand, if I wanted to be one, it would take just a phone call. All mower shops get dealer
pricing anyway. Their part prices are real low too.

Edge and Engine has a 4 peice set for $24.89.

Hell for years I used a stiff piece of old fuel line that would grip tight enough to adjust the carbs. Then I got real slick and made one out of a short piece of copper tubing that formed to the splines when forced over them. I'm a thrifty type of guy and will spend hours trying to save a couple bucks working on crap, but blow a 100 bucks for a hangover the next morning.
