Thanks Sawyer Rob for keeping the posts on track with the topic that was asked about! Whenever there is talk about kinetics or interest in one it always turns into a super split thread.

I would have to see one work on the elm that I split, before I would even consider one. I'll bet they don't work well. Some makes my 37-ton groan.

It appears the Split Second Kinetic Log Splitter has been discontinued. Their website is gone and the websites that were selling them state, "this item has been discontinued".

I wonder if there was a problem or they just weren't selling enough.

Very happy with my super split. It has been flawless for the first 15 cord I have used it. It actually handles the elm better than the sugar maple.
