Most of the time I leave the splits in a pile until I'm ready to move them home. If I'm loading them to take home right away I just toss them in the back of the truck as I'm splitting. Just need to be careful with the back window.

I did just that I have a old dragster trailer . I cut it down and put a home made splitter on the front of the trailer and I have to say it works wonderful it will hold just under 1/2 cord of wood and I can go almost anywhere with it.

Old post revival. I have been thinking about the possibility of building a dump trailer with a log splitter attached in front of the box that share the same motor and hydraulic pump. I can’t figure out why there are so little examples of this.

Guy around here has a wood splitter built in to the flatbed of his truck.
I forget if it's pto or pony engine powered.

I’m not on board with it as a good idea.
Seems rather limiting.
There was a repurposed, huge golf course, diesel mower with a log splitter mounted on the front, thread a few years back.
That was a grin:drinkingcoffee:
For several years I had a short box Chevy beater pickup with a lift gate for doing wood. Load the big rounds and back up to splitter, lower several at a time to beam.
