What is this ghoulish need to record everything all the time? I would have been halfway out of the truck running to help before the tree hit the ground.

But he suspected it wasn't good. It’s likely that the videographer knew less about felling than the guy running the saw
Two steps to the right or the left is usually out of the danger zone. I have a tendency to go away 90° from the fall line, quickly, with or without the saw. Have two outs especially in the brush. If it cracks or pops I don't hesitate to step back twice and look up. I usually leave the saw. Saves time if stuff is falling from above. Twice, I'm gone looking for the long bar or pole saw. Rarely need to run.I can't understand why he ran into it!
Being a licensed and insured MD Tree Expert for 40+ years, I have NEVER seen a tree felled with the face cut on the wrong side. Looks like the typical idiot that thinks a face cut trumps Physics and can lift a whole tree up against the lean.Occasionally you do, but I hear ya. I couldn't make out too well what was happening there.
I don't know if he did or not. I'd like to think he was just shooting a vid of a guy that knew what he was doing. BUT, now adays people video everything hoping to find the "Fail" to rush home and put it on youtube. Just don't know? But he suspected it wasn't good.
Exactly, if he just stood still, it would have fallen away from him.I can't understand why he ran into it!
For lack of experience I think.Exactly, if he just stood still, it would have fallen away from him.
