Just got back home from the Portland engine show. They had an old Frick buzz saw outfit there powered by an old Minneapolis steam tractor. took 5 or six men to run it,(not counting the guy stoking the tractor) but WOW, will that dude make a stack of wood in a hurry! (sorry I didn't take my camera)

Steam power helped create much of Americas early advances.

The steam tractors running the sawmill are always a hoot. Lots of stuff flying and lots of noise, and darn dangerous.
Fascinating to watch, but I'd lose a limb in a heartbeat working around one.

One of our more um..."Colorfull" locals, is a steam tractor loon that goes by the handle "Grave digger". The Nut even enters one of his old steam tractors in the pulls against more modern iron...and wins now and then. Best part is, that while he's running the steam engine, he's cooking the corn for lunch LOL!!!!!!!

I finally got another year to be Un-Busy for the flywheelers annual fall show. The Mill is a favorite.

If any of you hoosiers are coming up, holler.

Stay safe!
