sticker shock! Cdn. Husky Prices....??

went out today and priced two saws at the dealer, Tell me, is he way off base or has it been way too long since I bought a saw off the shelf????
these were the prices for the two saws I looked at...how do they compare to what they are near you.

1986 models
Husky 346 XP --$768.16 + Tax Cdn. funds

Husky 455 Rancher --$664.00 + Tax Cdn. Funds

Husky Bucks...

I see it all depends where you are, as some guys say they are high, some normal and yet others low....so I went to the Stihl dealer today and he offered up comparable pro series saws for 100-200 $$ less with a 2 year warranty if I bought the 6 pack of oil to go with it....The part I liked best was he made a few calls and told me If I could wait till April there was a bigger sale and he could sell at an even lower price>>>> not bad...I'll drive the extra 20 minutes for that...those dealers are near where I live which is between Ottawa and Kingston.
thanks for the input.....good used saws seem to be more suited to my price range.....CHEAP!!!!

chain saw in the trunk!

I'll be headin' to Florida for the warm sun will have to see what they are charging down there....how tough can a Palm tree be???? will stuff a saw in the trunk along with the Canadian Whiskey that I buy down there for half the price I pay at home! that just aint right!

the real travesty is'nt the saw prices in Canada, it is'nt the fact that canadians get raped by over 500 different taxes, it is'nt the fact that we just sent 35 BILLION dollars to Russia to buy their "carbon " credits (WHAT A ^%&&& JOKE)....

OH well, that seems like the going rate, really if you think about it, its not that much considering how long it should last if treated properly. After all, Im real happy with it, so thats all that matters.

If I had to pay that much for it, I would also.

Prices are so much different down here though.

Thats really a good saw though, and should last as long as you continue to maintain it. happy cutting!!
