I am looking for some guidance on a problem with a 011AV saw. There is a small steel guide that serves as the rear bar guide/support...since these saws only have one bar stud. It is art held on to the magnesium crankcase half with a small 4 or 5 mm torx head screw. The steel guide is threaded and the threads are fine there...the magnesium crankcase threads are stored and not holding.
Has anyone had to repair this issue, if so what did you do and how did you do it. Has anyone had to repair a similar situation. it a very small diameter screw not sure if they make helicoils in this small of size? JB weld an option? Not sure how well an epoxy would hold Any and all insights welcome
Thanks
Chuck
