Stihl 011 help

I have a 011 that I am going through (carb kit, fuel line & filter & the general cleaning & etc...)

It looks to me like one of the AV mounts is missing in the top handle - the one closest to the rear of the saw, just to the right of the air filter/carb box.

I have some photos if that will help. This was missing when I got the saw, so I really dont know if it is suposed to be there or not.

I got it for $30 with the case & it seems to be in good shape. I havent ran it yet.

Are these decent saws (is it worth keeping) I would just use it for a limbing/trimming saw anyway, which is fine, because I need a good one.

I'm pretty sure your handle mount is in place. Hard to see from the photo but there is only one on the top right side.

These saws work fine. Old, slower reving, but pretty much bullet proof.

It's bascialy an 009 with "AV".

Lightened up the pics. Let me know if you need an IPL for the saw.

Great looking saw. Looks all to be intact. Your buffer system is correct. I have one of these and would hate to part with it.

They are an excellent saw, a good work horse and very durible.
$30.00 good deal. You can afford to put money into if you need to.
I wouldn't part with mine.

File opened just fine for me. The 011 is a solid workhorse, just be sure to clean the filter often, even if it looks okay.
