I'm working on a Stihl 026 chainsaw and it needed a new carburetor on it. When I removed the old one there was no gaskets on either side of the carburetor. Is that the way it's supposed to operate? Thanks to anyone who replies.

yes, no gaskets either side
the boot to jug seals intake side, and the air filter seals the rear entrance

Don't forget the metal sleeve that fits inside the boot, and the metal washer that surrounds the boot
