For you 026 owners out there, would one of you pull the airfilter cover off and have a look at the plastic mount for the kill switch contact and tell me if mine is missing a piece, or if something is broke off?

Mine looks like:

The spring contact on this saw is very loose, and the air filter has to be installed for the contact to work right. I wouldn't think that is normal.
 
The saw is almost totally stripped at this point for cleaning and a new piston and rings. The ignition coil has been removed. The sintered filter and cap for the fuel tank is off as well for the picture.

I think I got it fixed. Looking at the IPL showed the spring was straight where mine was bent (most likely from getting caught on something and tweeked). Straightend it out and it works much better now.
