The 028 is a good saw normally, but buying a used chainsaw saw is in the same category as buying a pig in the poke. I've seen them run and start really good, have good compression but when I pulled the muffler and took a peek at the piston so as to get an idea of it's internals,, some pistons scored so bad that it would make Ronnie Milsap blink twice.
I'm not a tree topper but I would think about a smaller/lighter saw for 4 tree top. (maybe even a top handle type)
