What I'm seeing while shopping is there are two different kinds of filters one with a hole and one without. I'm thinking the filter works with both types, just remove the nut, pops right out. I contacted the seller and he said he's never had a problem and I could send it back if I want but I think it's OK because it mounts up perfectly. What I'm starting to think is the guy I purchased the cover from put a screw from another saw on it. What do you guys think? I've ordered a replacement screw already, or return the filter?

Got it for $6.00.
Seems like a lot for what it is but this saw along with my 025 will be my work horses. I cut three to four cords a year. I have a super I'm going to start on in the future. I don't know what happened to it but it's siezed up and I can see a broken piston through the exhaust port. My carburetor came today and crank seals will be here by the end of the week. Hopefully I'll have her screaming by next week.

Thanks. For everyone's help and I'll let you know if I need those parts.
Jason.

Sorry, I got a little busy after posting those numbers last night, they came straight from Media Cat and should be good for all models if the correct OEM filter is installed. I cannot say if the AM filters work well or mot, I have not used one of them yet but I do have 7 older 028`s with 5 of them being Supers. I have a early metal tank WB to put together sometime and a huge box of spare parts from parting down several saws.

Well the replacement screw is a larger diameter than the old spring loaded one. I broke the filter apart and placed the first half on the saw than placed a washer on the carborator stud, put the filter together and that little bit of wiggle room provide by the washer was enough for the thumb screw to grab.
