Sorry to bring up this old thread but never saw a final resolution and I am working on a 028AV with THE identical problem. Fresh B/C oil and I know the history on this saw and they always ran good B/C oil. It is pumping out oil through the oil pump gear hole. No noticeable wear in the pump. All the details above pertain to mine. Any help ? What was resolution ?
