Stihl 028av Super clutch replacement

So I've bought an old 028 super for silly cheap. It obviously had a clutch problem. Got the old clutch off and it is absolutely done.

My problem is that I've been unable to find a replacement part. Can't even find part number for the whole assembly.

There are plenty of non OEM replacements for 024,026,038 etc are any of these clutches interchangeable with an 028?

Or could anyone direct me to a link or relevant website

My IPL diagram says the clutch is 1118 160 2001, but it might be outdated. Newer ones might be 1118 160 2002. A pre-owned clutch might work and save you a bundle if it does. Good luck!

The springs are the same as several models, if that is all you need.

Yes, it could be that one or two weak clutch spring replacements could fix the problem. BTDT. It's worth a try. I recall examining a few clutches that had at least one broken spring. When I replaced them and cleaned up the parts, the clutch was back in business.
