Stihl 031 trigger module

Hello,

I wanted to show the pictures of the module. First off I have a pic of the old module. It was removed because I cracked the flywheel using a gear puller instead of the correct flywheel puller. (The proper tool costs less than a replacement flywheel!)

The replacement module won't fit under the flywheel anyway. It is mounted on the coil. If you look closely at the module mounting screw on the left you will see the little clip that Stihl provides along with the module to facilitate mounting over the coil.

Many thanks to Mr. Lakeside for his sage expertise in diagnosing and curing the problem. He had suggested that I upload the photos to the site so that others may benefit.

bracket

The bracket is very handy when using an aftermarket module also. Nice install, many more years left in the saw now.
