Yep, common issue on this series. The OEM line is typically hard and doesn’t easily come off the pump. It can still fail, though. Tygon (yellow) or other generic fuel line isn’t recommended. If your line was replaced with something like that then it may happen again. I’ve had success with a piece of Stihl fuel line and a spring, but OEM is best for most circumstances. Any sign of the clutch drum rubbing on anything? Needle bearing still look ok?I think I found the leak. To begin with Im no small engine guy the most I ever did to my saws was clean filters or replace them, clean the bar and sharpen the blades fill em up and go.Like I said in earlier post I took it to a Sthil dealer and they couldnt find the leak. So I went to utube and watched videos on the Sthil 034av took it apart all the way down to the oil pump. The hose that comes off the oil pump to the oiler hole was barely on the pump itself That might explain the bar oil on the outside of the clutch cover. Got a can of carb cleaner cleaned the whole oilpump area it looks new put the line back on all the way down to the stop ran it no oil coming up on clutch cover shut it down and wanted to see how much oil leaked not running, checked it today got oil on the cardboard the size of a quarter. Im real happy with the results for never attempting this and no extra parts left over. Thanks for all the replys on my saw.

The little pipe coming off the oil pump is not a straight piece it looks like a pellet you would put in a bb gun it has flanges on it. My hose was just sitting on top it was not pushed down on this pipe. It could have come off through vibrations I dont know but Ill keep an eye on it. I dont know if this hose is the original or a replacement dont know.If I read your post correctly the hose is supposed to go on over that rib in the steel pipe/nipple, the bit you referred to as a ,stop. If using an OEM hose it will take a set around that rib and never come off easily.
Like this one? I can see what you called a , stop. The little pipe coming off the oil pump is not a straight piece it looks like a pellet you would put in a bb gun it has flanges on it. Thats it pioneerguy600 the hose was barely on top of the first flange in this picture. Now it pushed down to that stop below the 2nd flangeLike this one? I can see what you called a , stop.
Yes will be watching it like a hawk. The two barbs above the stop should hold the line in place, if it slips off again the line is too soft or flexible, lets hope the existing line stays put.
