I have my OEM replacement outlet oil line kit, line, spring and brass fitting. Most of the research I have done calls for heat to get the bends correct. Any installation advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just did a 034av oil line over the weekend here. Bar and chain wasn't getting enough oil. Oiler was turned to max. Had a leak where the pump mates up to the feed hose that lays inside the bar lube reservoir.

I used a heat gun on it
And I doubt I could have done without it.

Cut the hose length at 3 inches.

Heat up one end and get the hose onto the pump before installing pump.

Install anti kink spring into hose

From there it's just a little finessing and I did use heat at this point also to help.

Get the hose all situated and bolt up oiler and install brass outlet (heat needed again)

Someone recommended soaking in boiling water to soften. Supposedly there was also a homelite tube that works but is not as stiff? I have seen 034s running tygon and they seemed to oil ok.

Would light heat from a lighter on the ends, and a hair dryer on the rest of the hose work?

Biggest thing is getting on the end of the pump.the hose is still flexible enough to conform to where it needs to be after the pumps installed.the heat generated after it has ran will set the form of the hose.

One other thing that tab on the gear likes to break off now and then.the gear may only be spinning partial crank shaft speed and not wide open with the clutch drum.
