Stihl 038av to 038 magnum

I have a Stihl 038av and would like to know if a 038 magnum cylinder and piston will fit it. Also if it does fit, would a new carb be required.

No you can't put it on.

Thanks for the info. I take it the super cylinder will fit, but would it be worth it?

The Super will fit, and you will notice some gains, but you have to weigh the cost of the piston and cylinder and any other parts that have to be changed, versus the size of the gains. If its running good, I'd leave it alone and find something bigger if I need more power. If its almost due for a rebuild, then it may be worth looking into if the price is right.
