Stihl 044 - Suggested Muffler Mods?

Just put your bar wrench in the slot in front of the round exhaust port and twist ,instant dual port

Looks like nice machining to me! What tools did you use?

If that is a 460 muffler it looks like the deflector is wider and shallower than on my 044 which may make machining from the outside a little more challenging...

Dremel with 1/4" double cut carbide burr.

It's a 461

If your 044 isn't running square file chain, an HD2, 661R spikes and dual port muff then it's just not any good

This is a 461....but same concept.
I also added a DP cover.

You can also oval the factory opening and open the DP cover opening.

I added gills too (and coarser screen).
