For sale is this Stihl 044. Had been sitting for years, grabbed it off the shelf. New impulse line, runs pretty good, some piston slap. Plenty of good parts or use it, whatever.
It appears to have them. I have ran it mostly just to test it 2 or 3 minutes at a time. They didn't get very hot if at all. Not sure how long it takes on Stihl. I can run it in some wood today maybe if its critical.
Seems to be some confusion. What I mean by piston slap is that rattle and rumble you hear at idle usually when the piston is worn. A lot of saws get it when they're piston to cylinder gap increases I think. Maybe Im way off track.
