Since Mike acres seems to be having trouble with his site, I need some specs on Stihl's 045 model saw. What is the actual displacement,HP, CID, weight with a 20" bar and how reliable they are.

I would be interested in one financially I'm not the best in shape right now someone broke into my shop stole a bunch of my arbor equipment my climbing gear bunch of my failing gear they also took 15 of my chainsaws my old 56 AV my 066 damaged my old 29 and I guess dropped it or something on the second floor coming down the flight of stairs list goes on up to my brand new Ms 881 I just bought 2023 model almost 2 Grand used one time they took it but how much you want and out of one of them or 45s and I'm a lover and respecter of the stihlname and stihl backing productThey came in 3 displacements. The oldest are 75cc 9 (4.6ci); later they were 81cc (5.0). 045 Supers were 87cc (5.3ci). I imagine some people have put the 056 Mag jug on 045 cases and that'll give 94cc. HP stuff I can't help you with.
The old literature I have for the 75cc 045 lists the weight w/ 14" bar @ 18.5lbs. Considering the absurdity of putting a 14" bar on an 045 I don't why they would list that figure.
As for reliability, I absolutely love the saw. That's why I have four It's an older, heavier one to be sure. But one of the best of it's time. When I go to Arkansas to move a friend and cut up some trees I'm bringing my 066 and my 045 Super.
The only problem is that some parts are hard to find. Particularly, pistons, older ignitions, and clutch side bearing. Those, at least, are the ones I've looked for. Luckily the saws are durable enough.
Are you looking at one to buy?
