stihl 050 oil pump

I know it's an old beast, but does anyone know how to get at the oil pump on a old stihl 050? I can't see anything behind the clutch, and I'm thinking I need to unscrew the bar studs and take the guide plate off to see what's behind it. I hope I don't have to split the cases to get at the oil pump.

No, much easier than that. Look for a little plastic plug on the front of the case. Might have to remove a spike to access it. Behind the plug is the oil pump. Thread a long screw into it, and pry it out.
