Stihl 076 Questions

What does everyone think on the 076 ?? I dont know much about them, but my cousin has one I think I can get for free. Just been sitting in the barn for probably 15 or 20 yrs. I dont think it has even been started or used since. The thing is like brand new. I am thinking about using it for a milling saw if I can get it.

the 076 is a beast and will make a excellent milling saw. I've got an 075 which is largely similar to the 076 and it is unstoppable. They are definitely heavy saws, but for use on a mill it would work very well. Parts availability shouldn't be much of a problem either as stihl was still making this same saw as the TS760 cut off saw. And its tough to argue with the price.

Grab it if you can, Great Saw! They are heavy old TQ monsters but thats just what you want for milling.

I will find out this weekend if I can get it or not, I am hoping I can. That sucker weighs about 30-35 lbs with the bar and chain on it LOL.
