I have a Stihl 08. Someone refered to it as a Stihl 08 Super. It is the old Red & White model before Stihl changed to Orange. It has the removable
oil resevoir which comes off when the bar nuts are removed. The handle and tank all come off in one unit. This saw has recently stopped oiling. I have drained the bar oil out of it and filled it with kerosene and washed it out pretty good thinking maybe some woodchips or sawdust got in the tank and plugged things up some. This has not worked.

Any suggestions?

When you take the oiler off, and look at the clutch, there should be a little pin in the end of the clutch nut that corresponds to the little pump drive in the cover.

Mine fell out, and stopped oiling...Take a look at yours.

oil hole seems to be clear. Not sure how to check for pump function other that seeing that no oil is coming out of the hole.
