So I dove back into this changed out thw tank vent and that didn’t fix it. I’m beginning to think maybe it’s the carb adapter maybe the impulse hole is plugged or the gasket is junk.
The problem is it’s flooding out of the main jet. I looked at a hl292 I have on hand just to try that yesterday problem is where the air filter extension screws on its stripped on one side. Thinking about buying a gasket set and a set of crank seals and just rebuilding the entire thing. I have had it running for quite a bit before I rebuilt the carb the governor is disconnected and it has good spark. If the impulse hole was plugged you would not be pumping fuel to your carb. Clean and gap your points and if you have a known good condensor change it out then try it for spark. Try to start the saw if no go pull plug and see if it is wet if it is dry squit some mix gas in carb throat and try to start saw.
Good luck.
