Stihl 1118 160 5400 old style brake band for 028

Hoping someone might have one to sell..
I have been looking on the Bay for a while and can not find one. Converting an old 028
without the chain brake and this is the only part I need.

Thanks
Joe

Joe, Not all older 028's have the proper attaching points for brake hardware. It's been my experiences that the later 028's have these attaching points for hardware needed.
I have all the other hardware for the addition of the Chain brake. The correct Band listed above is what I need.
Thank you for the response

Joe

Joe, I understand you have the hardware. I guess what I'm trying to say is the early pto side cases did not have the proper machined bosses to mount your hardware for the brake ass. Do you have a picture of your pto case half?

I made one from one for a husqvarna 55, it is near the same, a couple of needle nose pliars & some heat will make it work.
I did have the broken one to go by, they are unobtainium.

Don't tear down any further as that looks to possibly work. I have one for reference at home. Will be back home over the weekend. Thx for the pic Joe.
Thank you TLG.. I modified a 1117 160 5400 (042/048 Band. Fiddled with it and got it to work, but I had to re-rivet the lever end of the band.
Aluminum rivet so I am not to sure on the strength of that. I appreciate your help.

Thanks
Joe
