Stihl 441 With A 28" Bar..........What is your Drive Link Count???

I picked up a couple GB 28" bars for my 441. They call for 91 drive links. When I used 91 the bar had about 3/8" of adjustment left. I took them down to 90 and that left me with about 1" of adjustment!!!


So..........to the few that are running 28" bars what is your drive link count???

I run 92 link Stihl chains on a Stihl ES bar. I use RSC, RSF and RSLF.

If memory serves, the 28" GB bars tend to want a few drive links less than most 28" stihl-mount bars. 89dl if running a 7t, I think.

All 28 inch 3/8 stihl bars are 91DL, unless you are running an 8 pin on an 056! but you're not, so...

91 can be tight when brand new on an 8 pin, but it fits fine.

Yep...91dl on my 044 with the 28" ES

I checked the oil sling with the 28" bar..............it slings.............but not as much as I'd like!!!
