stihl larger mount bars ms880 will be able to be used on ms660 and ms460 but with spacers. there are some spacers available to buy they are just collars that go around the bar studs to make the larger bar fit.

you cannot use the ms660 bars on the ms880 unless you grind the bar slots to fit.(more work)

the bar oiling holes seem to align fine.

the issue is the chain links. and sprocket..

ms880 i use a .404 7t .063 bar 36 inch

to use this ms880 bar on the ms660, you need a .404 sprocket, you need the bar spacers (2) but you also have a chain link issue...the ms880 is 108 links and i found way too many links for the ms660 ....if you make your own chain no problem you can adjust your chain to fit.

after going through this, im going to just get a 3/8 pitch .050 36 inch bar for the ms660

Right, seems too much to change to make any sense. I use a Stihl 36" bar on a Husqvarna 288xp with an adapter that I filed myself from a piece of flat steel. It works well. Both use 3/8" chain, the Husky just needs one more drivelink (115 instead of 114) or the Stihl bar needs a longer bar mount slot (some filing required). It's easy to share an expensive bar among two saws. Same pitch and compatible chain link numbers make all the difference.
