I have an ACE that i have bought a few of my saws from, but they are Stihl certified techs too. I knew you could buy husky's from TSC stores, but thought they kept Stihl out of big box stores that didn't have certified techs
You could buy any Jonsorend from tractor supply on line. Just now it seems that Husqvarna chainsaws are not getting much web presence, likely in the store as well. It is a place to get the roller file guides though. Home depot.com will sell me just about any Echo or Makita product I would want.

Can you bring your dog to a big box store. Do they have their own credit card.

Here is the Stihl outdoor stuff a local 105 storefront hardware chain puts on their website. I have seen the 261 there but not last time.

My local Stihl dealer is part of Ace Hardware, they have a service center run by an old Viking looking guy who knows his stuff, and parts on the shelf. I'd let them work on my stuff.

I bought my 500i from a Coastal farm store. They have a service center, but this was the place that tried to tell me that pro equipment had a 90 day warranty period, no matter if used for commercial or personal use. They also never registered my saw with Stihl. I got Stihl corporate involved and they took care of me, but I wouldn't want them touching my equipment.

Well yes you most certainly can here at the Farm and Fleet stores. :) You can bring your dog (or other pet) right along with you. They are a box store selling Stihl products so you and your best buddy can shop together for a new saw.

They discourage you bringing your donkey but I still see plenty of jackasses there anyway..... Their policy

To ensure the safety of both our customers and the animals themselves, only animals reasonably estimated to be less than 175 pounds are allowed in the store. If a customer brings in an animal over that weight limit, such as a horse, cow, donkey, etc. a Blain’s Farm & Fleet store manager will kindly ask for the animal to be escorted out of the store. This is done with the sole purpose of protecting our customers, store associates, and anyone else who is in our store.

Blades,

I bet some folks think I am joking but you live in an area with F/F stores and see the same things. There are days the place might look more like a dog park than a farm store.

I understand having and attachment to your pet, but I am of the opinion that if you are so attached to your pet that you can't run farm/business errands, or go get groceries, without it, you have mental issues that need addressing.

Who do you know with zero mental issues?

In my Lowes-lady with a Goat in a 4 wheeled sided basket 4 x3--said she keeps it in her house. I think she was mentally off and loved all the attention she got from public.. big mess coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seen her twice in Lowes🐐🐐🐐

Most dogs I see in stores are better behaved than most kids I see in stores. Dogs = perfectly fine with me.
I would agree, and I have no personal issue with dogs in a store, as long as the store owner is OK with it. It still does not change my opinion that it is a sign of mental issues if a person can't go in a store without their pet.

I fly an awful lot for work, I see so many dogs on planes that really shouldnt be on the plane, but hey most are really really well behaved.

With the exception of Danny Boy every coon dog we bought since the 1960's came on a plane. That changed when Cas Walker in Knoxville TN sent one up on a train. It got bit by a rattlesnake along the ride. Yeah he died... After that it was via air just like our vegetable plants. Good ole Ozark Air...good times picking them up at the terminal.

Been seeing pro Stihls at Ace for well over a decade now. Bought a couple from the local farm and ranch stores in Colorado. Back then they had plenty of 440’s, 461’s, 261’s, even an 880 back as early as 2013.

Bought a Husqy 576xp demo from ACE in 13.

This last summer I stopped into a True Value( used to be ACE) in Fairplay, and they had a 500i on the shelf.
