Don’t know if it’s regional or what but the prices seem to have gone up a ton and vary wildly from one dealer to another.

But a 20$ difference in the same chain between two dealers in the same zip code?
I don’t think 24$ a loop for 24” chain is too bad so I grabbed a few loops. Only because the last few dealers I saw asking 38-44.. these are some kind of Crazy times. No luck finding lightweight bars

Yea that’s quite a difference in price , and not bad either for the cheaper one .

Light bars simply no longer exist….with German industry collapsing, I see no hope of them coming back any time soon.

I work at dealership in Central Oklahoma. Chain prices have gone up about 20 percent across the board. Our loops are still a lot cheaper than other dealerships. “Technically,” dealerships are supposed to sell everything at msrp (most do). However, there is unwritten flexibility for dealers to set their own prices. Unfortunately, the new freight policies have put many dealerships in a bind and have forced us to raise prices even more.

We stocked up on rolls of chain and invested in the tools to make them .I saw the writing on the wall a year ago .We all have to do what we can to keep our overhead down /as low as you can now.I sure hope things get better some day!

Why would someone get full skip in a tiny 84dl chain

I thought this thread was about price. Is $20 still to high? What can you show us that is better?

Or are you picking at those not being Stihl chains? I get good performance and just as much use out of Oregon as I did when I ran Stihl chains.
