open up muffler on any saw they run a bit cooler and make more torque. last longer? no change i think. run little saws at 40:1 and big saws at 32:1 . 50:1 is lean and if you mix is off a little it could be 60:1 . better more oil than less.

Just how much longer is debatable but the saw will run cooler and more efficiently.
The other consideration is you must learn to properly tune the saw and in most cases the limiters must be removed.
AND the warranty is void on new saw.

Understood Ha new saw, only saw I’ve bought new is my Husky 3120xp for our milling slabs. I’ve passed warantee period on it now but have not tinkered/played with it yet it’s a beast stock imho so my play saws are all smaller than it Stihls all bought used and out of warantee anyhow
