help please i have rebuilt carb, new fuel line, new intake gasket, new filter
problem with getting it to idle it speeds up and down then stops seems to rev out ok if i richen the low jet i can get it to idle half pie decent then it sounds and revs like crap whatam i missing. thanks for any input i am ready to throw
the thing in the bin

Remove the carb again, remove the covers, then remove the needle
spring/lever, and look through that passage under the screen, it is likely
still obstructed, blow it out and visually verify it is open, reblow out the other
passages, look at the welch plugs, and look for loose sealant, especially if it is a Zama.

Ooouuussshhhh - I hate the 250, not a good saw imo.......
The Huskys are much better in this class of saws.

Those saws are disposable...Just chunk it and buy a new one...It'll probably be cheaper in the end.....

Sorry,I couldn't resist:D

thanks fish am quite confident carb passages are ok had welch plugs and screen out and set needle height it has a walbro on it any other ideas. by the way for you others sold the owner of it a husky 345 to replace it he gave me the stihl

Zimmy, I've been through that same thing with my 025 and it sure could be the air leak catagory with yours. In my case it's the compression and I'm installing a good jug I got on E-bay.

If it's a one port carb, two dealers here say to throw them away and buy a new one. I'm able to lift one off another saw and eliminate or justify that problem at least. I've never had any luck with the one ports....never had any trouble with the dual adjusters. Have seen two saws locally where the problem was the crank seals with the same symptoms..... very common to rev out of control and then stop in that case (sucking air and getting too lean).

We may be in air leak territory. Check the pulse hose first. then the intake boot. then seals and case sealant.

Yes...

and...

Also, check your 4 bottom case screws... (you might need to remove the handle to get at one of them) . If the are loose the saw will leak.

thanks for input guys will try impulse line when i get a chance it only messes around on the low speed with the throttle floored it goes fine had a 385 husky giving me crap today so wont get around to the 250 till tommorow
