For sale is a very clean, great running Stihl ms291.
When acquired, this saw had water damage, The water had entered through the muffler and remained in the crankcase causing the bearings to rust. The remedy included:
- fully disassembling the saw to look for further damage
- cleaning any remaining rust from the crankshaft with an ultrasonic cleaner
- replace crankshaft bearings and seals
- Clean every part of the saw while disassembled with the ultrasonic cleaner. This saw is now as clean as a new saw
- New 18-in bar and chain
The saw has been tested in wood and is now ready for it's new home.
