STIHL MS661 CASES CRACKING & CLUTCH SIDE COVER CHANGE

also common cracks is
(1)the support area av on clutch side right above where the handlebar bar bolts. that circular area on clutchside crankcase cracks and eventually just falls off

anyone repair this area....if crack what to do...epoxy?
if that area completely falls off? how to repair

(2) the bottom of clutch crankcase crack and fall off where ebrake hooks on .....

anyone have spare clutch side crank halves?

Does this sound like Stihl is trying to make the saws too light and/or poor design?

I have never had any problems like this with my MS 661:

I’ve only seen this in saws that the owner never bothered to check for loose bolts. That said, imo, that area is not beefy enough and it isn’t just with 661s. I’ve seen 261 covers do the exact same thing…once those bolts vibrate loose. WCS covers have the beef
